We enjoyed a 6-mile hike to Fall Creek in the hills north of Los Angeles. Temperature at the trail head: 38°.
The map said an elevation gain of 600 ft, but afterwards we suspected this figure failed to include the elevation loss heading down towards the creek. Next time, an altimeter!
